Common Questions about Life Coaching

You can meet as often as you need to. Some people may choose one session, while other find it helpful to meet for several weeks or months.

1. How often should I meet with a coach?

The sessions I offer include 30, 60 and 90 minute lengths.

2. How long does each coaching session last?

Sometimes we'll set a goal to test within a timeframe — journaling daily, applying to a set number of jobs, that kind of thing. But the client always decides the goal, never me.

3. Do I have to complete homework between sessions?

Each session is unique and comes with it's own takeaway for the client. Sometimes the take away is an important insight or goal. Other times it's a specific plan of action with exact steps.

4. Will I receive an action plan after each session?

Coaching isn't about getting it right every time — it's about understanding why you're stuck when progress stalls. We test strategies, and if one doesn't work between sessions, we adjust it until it does.

5. What if I don't make progress between sessions?

Yes, moving between topics session to session is completely fine. Over time, clients often start noticing the same patterns showing up in different areas of life — and shift from coaching on topics to coaching on the pattern itself.

6. Can we change topics from one session to the next?

Both. You can bring your own topics or challenges to each session. I also offer structured 8-12 week frameworks that walk you through specific skills and habits step by step.

7. Is coaching structured or flexible?

Yes, though it won't look like a lecture on "5 tactics for setting goals." Instead, we'll clarify the specific goals, ideas, or insights worth nurturing as they come up in conversation.

8. Can coaching help me set and achieve goals?

The simplest way is defining what outcome you want from a session, then checking in on how satisfied you feel with where you land. For clients working with me over several weeks or months, we set benchmarks along the way — I'll help you see how far you've come, what's left, and adjust the plan as needed.

9. How do you measure progress?

Yes, but only if the client and coach agree to partner together and commit to the actions talked about. Coaching also works because it helps the client gain new insights and idea they couldn't get on their own.

10. Does life coaching actually work?

Some clients want to feel more at peace, less anxious, and more motivated. Others want tangible results like finding a better job, getting out of debt or improving a relationship. Coaching can help assist with these results.

11. What kinds of results can I expect?

There isn't a specific time - some clients get the insights and results they want in a single session or two. Others find gradual progress over the course of several weeks or months.

12. How long does it take to see results?

I will help you assess everything you've already tried and help you identify any challenges you may not be aware of yet. If it makes sense to pursue further coaching to help, we can decide that together.

13. What if I've tried everything else already?

While there is no guarantee of motivation from a coaching session, many clients have shared feeling energized, excited, determined, courageous and inspired after coaching.

14. Will coaching motivate me?

Yes, almost all of my coaching session are done online via Zoom. For clients that live in Colorado Springs, I can meet in person if requested.

15. Do you offer virtual coaching sessions?

Yes, I can work with anyone in a different state or country, as long as they choose a day and time that I'm available within my time zone.

16. Do you coach people outside my local area?

My rates are based on the length of time. 30 minutes is $58, 60 minutes is $68 and 90 minutes is $78.

17. What are your coaching rates?

No. I understand some coaches do. I am not able to at this time. I can recommend some life coaches who do offer free consultation though.

18. Do you offer a free consultation?

I take credit and debit card. Payments are required before coaching session and can be made on my booking form.

19. What payment methods do you accept?

Yes, you can cancel and be refunded for a coaching session if you request it within 7 days of booking. Within 7 days, you can reschedule your session. I am not able to offer refunds for cancellation requests under 7 days.

20. Can I cancel or reschedule a session?

Absolutely. Your information and our conversation is private an never shared with anyone else.

21. Is everything we discuss confidential?
