People Pleasing
I'm Isaac with Vandermount Coaching, I'm a life coach.
I want to leave you with an insight to help you. People pleasing is a problem a lot of business professionals struggle with. We don't want others to be upset so we say YES to things we shouldn't. This creates extra stress and effects how we do business.
So if you or someone you know struggles with people pleasing, here's three easy steps to take:
Tell yourself "Let Them". This is from Mel Robbins book. Tell yourself "let them get mad. Let them feel however they want.
Tell yourself "I'm not responsible for what they think." You're only responsible for your thoughts and behaviors.
Remind yourself that if you're trying to please someone who won't respect your "No" they shouldn't be in your life.
I hope that helps. If you know someone who really struggles with that, send them my way. Usually one or two sessions is enough to help them control their people pleasing.
Thank you!
Imposter Syndrome
I'm Isaac with Vandermount Coaching, I'm a life coach.
Imposter syndrome is something a lot of entrepreneurs face. It's the idea that you really haven't earned the success or role you're in, and sooner or later others will find you out. It's a mix of worrying what others think and self doubt.
So if you or someone you know struggles with imposter syndrome, here's three easy steps to take:
Focus on results not reputation. Remind yourself of the solutions you've created, not the an image you're trying to convince others of.
Avoid mind reading. Don't assume you know what others think about you.
Choose courage over popularity. Don't try to win people over or people please. Do the right thing, focus on your skills and strengths.
I hope that helps. If you know someone who really struggles with that, send them my way. Usually one or two sessions is enough to help them control their imposter syndrome.
Thank you!
Self-Sabotage
I'm Isaac with Vandermount Coaching, I'm a life coach. I want to leave you with an insight to help you.
Self-sabotage is a problem a lot of business owners struggle with. You know what you need to do to grow your business, but you keep putting it off, second-guessing yourself, or talking yourself out of opportunities. Before long, you're standing in your own way.
So if you or someone you know struggles with self-sabotage, here's three easy steps to take:
Identify the pattern. Ask yourself, "What do I keep doing that's preventing me from getting the results I want?"
Question your excuses. Sometimes what sounds like logic is really fear in disguise. Be honest about what's actually holding you back.
Take the next step before you feel ready. Action builds confidence, but waiting for confidence usually keeps you stuck.
I hope that helps. If you know someone who really struggles with self-sabotage, send them my way. Usually one or two sessions is enough to help them get out of their own way and start moving forward.
Thank you!
Procrastination
I'm Isaac with Vandermount Coaching, I'm a life coach. I want to leave you with an insight to help you.
Procrastination is a problem a lot of business owners struggle with. Most people think it's a time management problem, but really it's an emotion management problem. We avoid things because they feel overwhelming, or we're afraid of failing.
So if you or someone you know struggles with procrastination, here's three easy steps to take:
Make the task smaller. Don't think about finishing the whole project, just commit to five or ten minutes.
Ask yourself what's really causing you to avoid it. Are you overwhelmed? Afraid of making a mistake? Once you name the real problem, it's much easier to solve.
Focus on progress, not perfection. Done is almost always better than perfect. One small step today beats waiting for the perfect time tomorrow.
I hope that helps. If you know someone who really struggles with procrastination, send them my way. Usually one or two sessions is enough to help them get moving again.
Thank you!
